Nigel P. Fullick

City Council, District 5

City of Bonita Springs, FL

Originally from London, England, Nigel grew up in Michigan but has called South Florida home since 1970. Nigel is a proud U.S. Army Veteran and a 1979 graduate of Florida Atlantic University. He worked his way through college as a police officer and detective before serving four years as an Organized Crime Division Agent.

An avid snow skier from a young age, Nigel raced on the World Cup circuit for two years. As an original member of the U.S. Speed Skiing Team, he served on the U.S. Ski Association's Olympic Committee for Speed Skiing from 1987 to 1989. After retiring from competitive ski racing, Nigel spent seven years as CEO of two national ski companies. He later founded and successfully sold the largest charter ski company in Florida.

Nigel entered the mortgage industry in 1997 and quickly became nationally recognized, holding successful leadership positions with two publicly traded companies. Passionate about community involvement, Nigel served as Chairman of the Art in Public Places Board for the City of Bonita Springs from 2004 until his election to City Council in 2022. He has served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County for 12 years, the Amigos Center for Lee and Collier Counties for 4 years, and the Arts Bonita for 6 years. In 2015, Nigel was elected President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Southwest Florida and served for two years on the Florida Board of Governors. He also served as a Board Member of the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce Foundation and remains an active member of the Bonita-Estero Board of Realtors.

Nigel served as a Team Leader for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life from 2005 through 2017. He remains an avid snow skier, boater, and traveler.

Nigel was elected as Bonita Springs City Councilman for District 5 in 2022. He currently serves as the City Council Liaison to the Veterans Committee, Blue Zones Committee, and the Lee County Tourist Development Council. Among Nigel's most significant legislative accomplishments are the revitalization of Downtown Bonita Springs, securing a $21.5 million grant for Pennsylvania Avenue improvements, negotiating several density-reduction agreements with developers, helping negotiate the redesign of the new Bonita Springs Elementary School, and successfully negotiating restoration of the 25% FEMA flood insurance discount for Bonita Springs homeowners.
